Karine Acoca is a free spirited painter who does everything differently. She claims her paintings to be a "state of nature", yet she is as skillful as a surgeon with a gift for mixing colors.
Influenced by Neorealism, the artist uses torn posters and billboards with graffiti mixed with her own photos. These different techniques and time periods give her work diversity, as it also combines acrylic paint and clippings from magazines to create a nostalgic kaleidoscope from the 40's to the 70's.
Karine Acoca's paintings are an explosion of color with the strength of innovation. Her style touches us and makes us reflect on several microcosms of life and their contradictions.
